Question : my primary wants to and i agree to begin reducing and discontinuing Xanax 1mgs bid daily. she started me on Klonopin; Clonazepam 1 mg bid until off Alprazolam ..then started Visteril in place Klonopin..is this the best choice.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

In my opinion your doctor is taking right approach to get rid of xanax. Firstly he removed the large devil with small devil and now he is using hydroxyzine to even remove that left over small devil.

Although it is not possible for me to name it best choice but it can be stated that he is taking right approach.
