Question : A couple of weeks ago I was at home and I felt this wave of tingling sensation come over me. first my left hand and then my feet after that I felt like I was separating from my self. I was able to sit down in a small room and put a fan on me. after that everything calmed down. Then the next day on my way to work it happened again. this time I was in the car driving 60 MPH and I felt the left hand and then my feet, after that I stopped and went to the ER. They said it was anxiety. That there was nothing I could do. that I would get upset and worked up the attack would happen and I would have to go though it. they wanted to give me pills for it and I told them no.
That being said this happened again last night after we got back from the short hike with our 4 and 5 year old we relaxed by smoking a bowl of marijuana (It is legal where we are) and after that I went to sleep only to wake up not being able to breath. The next morning I felt the Tingling sensation all over. I went back to ER and the doc didn't give me the time of day to tell him what had happened. Please advise something other that anxiety attacks. I don't know how to explain it but I feel these waves come over me and there is nothing going on at the time or an hour before. I just had one an hour ago and I was watching a movie with my kids sitting on the floor. Any insight you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Anxiety attacks most probably, better to do an MRI scan.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Most probably it is an anxiety attack. However it is better to rule out something called TIA (transient Ischemic attack). TIA can also present like this where their blood vessels are transiently blocked by clots or spasm. You can go for an MRI scan to rule out TIA or other possible lesions in the brain.
As of now avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. You can try relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. Meditation has better effects and no effects as compared to marijuana. You can take vitamin B12 supplements like Neurobion for symptomatic relief.
