Question : My CT scan showed possible partial encasement of mid sigmoid colon and probable serosal implant near the terminal ileum. Moderate ascites, omental caking, uterus and ovaries with ill-defined margins, pathologically enlarged upper aortocaval and celiac artery lymph nodes. Bladder, liver, pancreas, spleen normal. Lungs: A trace left pleural effusion with possible lobulated pleural nodularity. Moderate right pleural effusion with overlying atelectasis. Lung bases otherwise clear. Heart normal size.
Is surgery/debulking possible? I am 75 years old and in otherwise good health.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Surgery is an important option for the diagnosis and treatment of your problems. However, the decision should be made after a complete gynecological evaluation.

If you were my patient I would recommend to do a trans vaginal ultrasound for a better evaluation of your pelvic organs. This will help to determine what type of surgery should be done.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
