Question : Hi,
My wife is suffering from sinus and upper respiratory allergy which aggravates the situation. ( nose block, pallet irritation, headache ), so just want to confirm if operation is the only solution for getting rid from sinus..

Hello

Surgery is not compulsory for all cases of sinusitis and most of the cases can be managed with medications.

A variety of medications ranging from antibiotics, saline irritations to steroid sprays can be used. This depends on the patients symptoms and examination findings.

However in severe and refractory cases it may be advisable to get operated.
