Question: I am a patient of CML for last 5 years and taking Imatinib 400. For last 2 months I am having pain in neck which become worse while sleeping.. My doctor advised MRI which shows cord edema. He has prescribed PDOB NT nd Lycoyat twice for 30 days and one painkiller Indocab SR for10 days. .But when I stopped painkiller again symptoms reverses. Please advise when to stop painkillers and if surgury is only solution. Except pain there is nonumbness in limbs

Brief Answer:
Fentanyl transdermal patch

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since you are having pain and you are a patient of cml on imatinib and MRI showed spinal cord edema you need surgery to cure pain permanently. For now you can apply Fentanyl transdermal patch locally.
