Brief Answer:
Should improve

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Certain degree of swelling is expected after such procedures and it may persist for several weeks. Cast and immobilization contribute to swelling so it should improve after vast removal. You should keep your arm elevated and rest till that. Wish you good health. Regards
