Brief Answer:
Likely HIV negative. Go for HIV antibodies test after 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic. I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.

The chances of HIV transmission by oral sex is nil except if there are ulcers or open wound in the area of contact in both.It is unlikely.

HIV RNA PCR can detect as early as 4 days post exposure but is considered sensitive after 10 days exposure. It is negative is almost conclusive.DNA PCR is also similar to RNA PCR.They will help in identifying viral presence. They help in diagnosis during window period.
The duo test are repeatedly negative is good sign.It is almost conclusive. Usually Antibodies are formed by 2-6 weeks post exposure. In few individuals it may take up to 3 months.
So the antibodies tests are considered conclusive after 3 months exposure.

It is unlikely for the results to come positive later.
I do not see any need for HIV tests now.You can go for duo test or antibodies test after 3 months exposure to have conclusive results and to relieve your anxiety.
The cervical lymph nodes swellings may be due to any simple respiratory infection .They are not specific to HIV.

In my opinion it is almost conclusive that you are negative for HIV. (Oral sex is not a risk).

You can get back for any clarification.

Sir ,
Along with cervical i have supraclavicular , infraclavicular , abdominal lymph node swelling.
my body temp varies between 98.6 to 98.8 some times even 99
i am having chronic sore throat. I have consulted a dermatologist and he told that the lymph nodes are not of the size of HIV nodes and the sore throat is due to pollution.
doctor taking my results and my symptoms into consideration what are the chances of me turning positive ?
Its been a month my lymph nodes are existing and was on antibiotic for a week but of no use,I have undergone a CBC and doctor told CBC is normal .
Doctor 19 th april is my last exposure and 2nd XXXXXXX i had a HIV DUO test from LAL PATH LABS . After how many days of swollen lymph nodes will tests turn positive .
what is the chance of having hiv 2 infection

Brief Answer:
Chances of HIV tests becoming positive later is almost nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

The lymph nodes symptoms can start as early as 2-4 weeks. They are persistent and involve more than 3 groups.HIV tests like RNA PCR can be positive during this phase.
Not all lymph nodes swellings are due to HIV. They can occur in Tuberculosis, lymphoma, etc.You can consult a physician for examination and if needed biopsy can be done.
Hiv2 is very rare.
The chances of HIV tests becoming positive later is almost nil ,with given description and details.

You can go for HIV antibodies test after 3 months .
You can get back for any clarification.

HOW reliable is my DUO test on XXXXXXX 2nd i.e almost more than 6 weeks post exposure .
after how many days post ARS symptoms do the tests turn positive
what are the best tests and reliable tests to check before window period
is over?
Why arent PCR results which are highly sensitive taken as conclusive ?

Brief Answer:
Get evaluated by a physician .

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

The symptoms appear like ARS.But there are many conditions in which these symptoms can occur like tuberculosis, lymphoma, respiratory infections.

First of all there is no risk of HIV transmission by oral route. Moreover the tests are repeatedly negative including PCR and duo test. So you can almost allay fears of HIV.

PCR is almost considered conclusive after 10-12 days.and Duo test too after 30 days by many practioners.
To be on safer side and minor possibilities of false negatives in the test, the antibodies tests after 3 months are considered conclusive.
So the chances of you getting positive results later is nil.
HIV is diagnosed by tests and not by symptoms
. So even if it is ARS it has to be proven by tests.

You can consult a physician for evaluation including lymph node biopsy results f required.
It is better to get evaluated other than HIV .

You can get back for any clarification else please close the discussion and rate.

HELLO DOCTOR,
Firstly thank you for your previous advise
Sir I have uploaded my reports of RNA PCR AND DNA PCR AND LATEST COMBO TEST
now i m in 10.5 weeks from first exposure and 8 weeks second exposure which was oral.
sir what is worrying me are my ARS symptoms swollen nodes all over the body like neck , thighs , groin etc.
I feel like I have sore throat , i lost weight . and please observe this my temp variations are like
96.9 deg faren at 7 Am
98.6 by 12 noon
but after 6 PM it goes to 98.9 and some times 99.0 or 37.2
again by 10.30 - 11:00 it comes to 98.6 to 98.7
by 2AM it is again 98.6 .
now should i call this fever ?? or is it normal
i consulted a physician for my lymph nodes
he put his observations like this "small swollen cervical lymph nodes"
chest , cvs CLINICALLY NAD
p/A NAD
HEWAT NAD .
he gave me multivitamin for three months thatz it .
Doctor with my HIV combo result at 10.5 weeks and 8 weeks can i be conclusive.
IF these are ARS symptoms how long will my test take to be positive .
kindly tell me if i should go for PCR
today morning i have noticed one maculopapular rash at my back .
doctor please tell me AM I SHOWING ARS SYMPTOMS ?
IS A QUALITATIVE DNA PCR DONE AT 7 WEEKS POST 1ST EXPOSURE AND 5 WEEKS POST 2ND EXPOSURE CONCLUSIVE ??
OR IS the virus hiding in the lymph nodes and takes time to come into blood so are my results showing negative
if virus is hiding in lymph nodes after how many days will it come out into blood .
IF these are ARS symptoms , after how many days post lymph node swelling results turn positive
WILL PCR TEST HELP TO FIND VIRUS BEFORE SEROCONVERSION OR DURING SEROCONVERSION
DID you see patients who are negative at 10 weeks and turn positive at 12 weeks

i heard that people take 6 months also ? so how be sure before that time .
DOCTOR my symptoms are strongly suggesting ARS , which one should i go with ? symptoms?? or TEST RESULT .with your expertise please provide me a solution .
KINDLY GO THROUGH MY REPORTS.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely due to HIV.Allay fears.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
I have gone through the reports and details.I can make out your anxiety.

HIV 1 and 2, PCR is negative and combo test also negative.PCR is a very sensitive test.PCR is almost considered conclusive after 10-12 days exposure. So the tests are done after this period.Window period is not important for PCR. It detect directly the viral components.
The symptoms can be due to any simple respiratory infection. Not all respiratory symptoms or lymph nodes are due to HIV.So allay fears.
Diurnal temperature (Fever) variation is normal due to hormonal effects.
Follow the instructions given by your physician.
Get antibodies test after 3 months to have final conclusive results .
You can get back to me for any clarifications else please close the discussion and rate.
Thank you

doctor ,
1) If my symptoms are of ARS how days will it take the test to become positive.
2) DO THE PCR TEST HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SEROCONVERSION ?
3)WHAT IS THE PROBABILITY OF A 10.5 WEEKS COMBO TURN POSITIVE AT 12 WEEKS .
4) I HEARD THAT HIV HIDES IN LYMPH NODES , IF SO THEN MAY BE SO MUCH VIRUS IS IN MY LYMPH NODES AND NOT IN BLOOD . IS IT TRUE ? IF TRUE WHEN DOES COME TO BLOOD.
5)CAN I TAKE THE TEST CONCLUSIVE OR SHOULD I GO FOR PCR . AGAIN
6)DOCTOR HOW CONCLUSIVE ARE TESTS AT 3 MONTHS , BECAUSE MANY SAY 6 MONTHS AND 1 YEAR TESTING ALSO .
7) wHEN CAN I BE CONCLUSIVE THAT I AM CONCLUSIVELY NEGATIVE?

Brief Answer:
Conclusive after 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

PCR detects HIV irrespective of ARS symptoms. It detects as early as 4 days.It remains positive forever if positive.
Window period is for antibodies detection. So these can positive during ARS or later. It can be positive by 2-6 weeks exposure latest by 3 months.

HIV is detected by PCR so chances of negative results due to lymph nodes persistence is nil.
Tests after 3 months is conclusive. PCR is almost conclusive too.
There is no necessity to go for tests after 6 or 12 months.
You can get back for any clarification.
