Question: Hiv 1 rna pcr test after 12 day result- targets not detected and p 24 antigen combo test after 17 days result index value .27 how much reliable.please tell me doctor now which test i need in future for early detection.

I understand your concern and situation.

As of now your tests are negative.The tests you have taken are at quite early stages at which the sensitivity of tests is very low. There is strong chances of false tests. So I suggest that you must take HIV PCR test after 6-7 weeks post exposure and HIV 4 th generation ELISA test after12 weeks. At this time tests are quite conclusive. But a repeat test at 6 months will again be necessary. Practice barrier methods during intercourse.
