Question : I have a haital hernia. Is it OK to continue drinking perrier?
Brief Answer:
It is better to avoid
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma am, Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the safety of Perrier while suffering from Hiatus hernia.
As a matter of fact Perrier is carbonated bottled mineral water and hence more acidic in nature. Its consumption may cause back flow of gastric acid from the stomach into the esophagus thus triggering the heart burn, burps and flatulence which may be harmful in presence of Hiatus hernia.
In view of the above possible harmful effects, you are advised to better avoid drinking this water instead you can have a normal safe drinking water.
Hope this answers your query.
Wishing you a very good health.
