Brief Answer: Yes Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX, Thanks for posting on XXXXXXX Yes, chronic renal failure often leads to necrosis of nephrons and tubules. Acute tubular necrosis is a feature of CKD as well as destruction of nephrons. How ever, glomerunephritis are conditions that can lead to CKD which in turn leads to destruction of nephrons.
