Is There A Bad Combination Between Seroquel 100MG And Smoking

Question: Is there a bad combination between Seroquel 100MG and smoking methamphetamine? I have asked this prior and I cannot get solid response. I did not receive Seroquel for any mental disorder. I only received it for sleep! I do smoke methamphetamine and I am aware that I should quit that. My question is, if I smoke and then stop for 4 hours and then take Seroquel to come down and be able to sleep, what could that interaction be? I do not suffer from high blood pressure and I monitor it closely. Last night it was at 116/79. I do not have any underlying issues and according to my doctor I am in excellent health as I just had a lot of blood work done and everything is great. My doctor does not know that I smoke which is why I do not ask him. I have read many articles that say that Seroquel is perfect for a meth comedown as it relieves the paranoia and psychiatric stress that meth use can bring. Can you please explain the interactions?

Brief Answer:
There is potential interaction but not a big deal Just decrease drowsy and sleepy

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question Castaneda. Hope I can be of help for you today. Through reading your query I understand and would like to help you with this question. Seroquel 100mg and smoking methamphetamine, you need to monitor closely with your doctor because they are potential for interaction. Seroquel and Methamphetamine decrease sedation and drowsiness. Using medicine for sleep is not the first choice of treatment. Because they will have many side effect rather than help you sleeping. You may need to find out the cause of what make you could not sleep. You can follow good Sleep Hygiene instruction. And other things that can improve sleep include: relaxation therapy, in which you focus on relaxing all the muscles in your body 1 by 1. Working with a counselor or psychologist to deal with the problems that might be causing poor sleep if you have it.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your child good health. Let me know if I can assist you further.

That makes absolutely no sense.
The cause for me not sleeping is because I smoke methamphetamine. What I asked is, “is there possibility for a major interaction between Seroquel and smoking Methamphetamine?”

Brief Answer:
Combination with smoking methamphentamin make decrease the effect of seroq

Detailed Answer:
Sorry, that the answer made no sense to you. Seroquel is antidepression medicine. It make you sleepy and drowsy but when you take it in combination with smoking methamphentamin, it decreases the effect of seroquel, so it will decrease sleeping and drowsiness. Smoking methamphenamine: the onset of actin occurs within seconds after smoking. Although methamphentamine has a plasma half life (the period of time required for the concentration or amount of drug in the body to be reduced by one-half) of 12 to 34 hours. So 4 hr after you smoke methamphenamine the interaction of decreased sleepy and drowsy is still have.

Smoking Methamphenamine alone can cause intoxication. So if you have palpitaion, shortness of breath please see your doctor soon.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your child good health. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards,
