Question : I have a SEVERE restless leg problem no one can fix. I now take 0 .25 MG MIRAPEX pills 2 hrs before bed to get any sleep at all. I think my legs worsen as soon as i sit in front of a TV or a computer screen. Is that possible ? Is there a cure ? I,m a realtor that needs the computer , cell phone full time.

Brief Answer:
Clonazepam may be added.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

There is a cure for restless legs syndrome in cases when it is related to the iron deficiency.

In other cases, if only one drug ( mirapex in your case ) doesn't control sufficiently the symptoms, another drug is added from a different class ( antiepileptic drugs, sleep drugs, opioids ).

I think taking clonazepam in the evening in addition to the mirapex should result in good control of the symptoms.

There is no evidence that TV or computers exposure is worsening restless legs syndrome, however, try to avoid these activities in the evening if you see that these are affecting your condition.

Please discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.

I was given clonasapam and it had directly the opposite effect. I was climbing the walls. I take 4 .025 mirapex a night which i think causes problems , that's why they gave me the clonasapam and once before Lyrica which also did more harm then good . Any others worth a try ?

Brief Answer:
Opioids?

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Okay, opioids and opioids containing drugs may be the next step, because their use can relieve moderate to severe symptoms.

However, the lower possible dose of opioids ( oxycodone, Percocet, hydrocodone ) should be tried in order to avoid the risk of addiction.

Hope this helps.

Greetings.
