Is There A Drug Interaction Between Percocet And Valium?

default
Posted on Thu, 20 Dec 2018
Question: I am suffering from an extremely painful leg and thigh strain. At the ER an ultrasound was performed and showed no blood clots. I was prescribed Valium as a muscle relaxant, and Tylenol. I am also applying ice to the affected areas. However I am still experiencing a high degree of pain (8-10). would Percoset along with the other medicine offer me some relief? Is there a drug interaction if so? I have Percoset in the house (5/325). Thanks for your assistance. XXXXXXX Kushins

Major interaction

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but Percocet has a major interaction with Valium as both medication cause respiratory depression.. Their action together can lead to respiratory abnormalities or even coma.. I hope I answered your question.. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion...

Hope this helps.
