Acetaminophen is always described for fever AND also for things like headache and other pain. That seems strange if it isn't an analgesic. Is it incorrect?
Brief Answer:
Acetaminophen is mainly prescribed for fever and mild paim
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question, I understand your concern.
I think you did not read my comment properly, I said it is mainly antipyretic and very less effective in analgesia, that is why acetaminophen is mainly prescribed for fever and mild pain and not for severe pain.
There are some conditions, when acetaminophen is prescribed for pain and that type of pain is usually very mild or due to hyperthermia.
For severe pain doctors prescribe NSAIDs and not acetaminophen.
I hope your query is clear now.
Thanks and regards
