Question : I was suffering from acidity from past few days. I have taken Omeprozole with Gaviscon from last 3 days and got improvement in stomach acidity. However, I have a burning feeling in throat and little below in esophagus whenever I swallow food. It's not when I swallow liquid like water or curd. Is there any medicine I can take to cure this inflammation.?

Hi,

Based on the description provided I suspect you to have Acid reflux. For momentary relief you can take antacid syrups like Pepto or Digene 10 ml thrice daily.

For complete relief you may have to take a combination of proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic. SOMPRAZ L or ILADAC L are some examples of such combination medication. Take one capsule once daily early in the morning for 15 days.
