Is There A Need To A Vaccination Shot When The Cat That Hurt Me Is Healthy?

Question: In the month of May, while in my friend house, his pet cat suddenly fallen upon me, as I just it, it scratched my fingers, leading to blood
Now there are three things I want to tell
1)last year during this period only when a street dog just locked my feet I went to doctor and completed the rabies course of five injection
2)similarly in April just few days before a street dog while going in night touched leg with mouth and as I noticed quickly removed my leg from the dog. And noticed it was just licked my jeans pant
As I noticed there was no tear in the pant as well as no blood letting. Bite. Even then also consulted doctor who told me to take one injection of anti rabies since I completed the course last year, just for my satisfaction

So as explained the above conditions after my encounter with the cat, when I went to doctor he told me there is no need of vaccine of rabies. Since i have completed rabies course last year and also taken extra one dose few days back. So my question is, is my doctor is correct

Madam sir my question is since there is a blood letting scratch by cat. Is there any chance of rabies. I have also completed the course last year. AND AS EXPLAINED TAKEN EXTRA DOSE JUST FEW DAYS BACK BEFORE THE ENCOUNTER WITH CAT

Brief Answer:
No need to take the vaccine if the cat is healthy now.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As per the guidelines, even though you have taken the anti-rabies vaccine, after exposure to cat or dog or wild animal, again you have to take the anti-rabies vaccine.

In your case, as this incidence has happened in the month of May and if that pet cat is healthy, then there is no need to take vaccine now. Kindly follow if you have any query.

Take care.

Sir my question is even though I completed the course last year
In the month may before exposed to pet cat of my friend I exposed to a few days back.
But in the situation of exposing to dog there was not any blood litting bite or any thing. It just picked by jeans but still I taken a vaccination dose.
After this when I went to my friend home, just the pet cat played with me and there this little blood litting scratch happened, through its nail
My doctor who had given last year rabies dose told me during consultation, there is no need for any vaccination as last year only I completed the course and few days before exposing to cat, I took another dose. So there is no need for vaccination as per the exposure of cat is concerned.

Sorry here I want to tell that before exposing to cat, I was taken a dose of anti rabies while exposing to dog in which doctor told me to take only one vaccine

Can I take or complete the rabies course now also. Even my friend pet is healthy and is still alive

Brief Answer:
Now No need of vaccination as pet cat is healthy and alive.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As we have to watch that pet for at least 10 days after exposure. Now already it's more than 10 days and that pet cat is healthy and alive, so now no need of any type of vaccination. Be relax. Kindly follow if you have any query. Take care.
