Question : I have been doing 500 pushups every day for 3 days. On the third day, I experienced a numbness as well as a tingling sensation in my left chest at the last hundred pushups of that day. This is day 5 and I don't feel numb but I feel the tingling in my left chest when I stretch my chest or do push ups. Should I be alarmed?

                                    Brief Answer:
Can be mild nerve irritation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild numbness and tingling sensation that you are having can be related to mild nerve root irritation at the back due to a muscle spasm. This can also be related to a mild vitamin B 12 deficiency.
You can start taking methylcobalamin supplements and do some back strengthening exercises and see if it helps.
I hope this answers your query.
