Is There Any Chances Of Liver Damage Due To Chronic Itching All Over Body And Kidney Failure Or Further Tests Like Lipid Profile Will Help?
Question: Hi I'm very healthy guy who daily go to gym and follow huge diet plan. Since few years I'm facing problem of chronic itching all over body. That itching last for just 2-3 hours but during that its nightmare for me. It happen once after 30-40 days. Sometime duration vary. I went to Dr . After looking at my blood report he have said chances of liver damage and kidney failure. I'm afraid of it. Except this problem i have no other disease or problem throughout my life. I'm 28 year okd now and went to hospital for maximum 2-3 times before this.
In my blood report my sgpt :107 and sgot :134.
Wbc count :12500. Hemoglobin: 17.1.
Rest everything is quite normal. Wbc count might be higher due to infection atthat time i guess. Please help me for this disease. Dr have suggested me further tests like lipid profile , uacr tesr etc. Please help me.

Hi,
I have gone through your complaints and itching could be due to deranged liver function tests.
Apart from this I would recommend you to go for some further tests: serum IgE levels and thyroid function tests.
Also take antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once daily at bedtime and use a moisturising lotion like venussia lotion on the entire body twice daily.

Itching itself is not my big concern. I'm afraid due to warning of probable liver damage and kidney failure in future.

Your sgpt and sgot levels are definitely raised and you need to get some more tests to find on the cause of these like HbsAg, Anti HCV and ultrasound abdomen.
If there is any problem in these then you need to take treatment accordingly.
Otherwise take a liver protective medicine like tablet will normalize sgpt and sgot.
If treated I don’t think there are chances of liver and kidney failure in future.
