Brief Answer:
clomiphene citrate advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, hope you are doing well.
Yes ovulation induction can be easily done with drugs specially available for the same.
Tablet clomiphene citrate is given from day 2 to day 6 of the cycle for 5 days and then ultrasound is done on day 11 of cycle to see for the response to the drug.
In ultrasound we see for number of follicles and size of follicle along with endometrial thickness study to see if the thickness is appropriate to support the pregnancy or not.
All this is simple but still involves a lot of experience so you should visit a good infertility specialist who can gauze your response to the drug and supplement with other hormones in case the need arises.
I basically practice infertility and do follicular monitoring and assisted reproductive procedures daily so feel free to discuss your treatment and other aspects anytime on health care magic and contact me directly on http://bit.ly/drmanishajain

Brief Answer:
doctor supervision is a must

Detailed Answer:
It is a must to take the tablet only under supervision of your doctor.
In patients with PCOD these ovulation induction drugs can cause excessive hormone secretion and severe symptoms.
Though it occurs in less than 10% of PCOD patients but in case it occurs then proper management is needed immediately or it can be life threatening.
So visit your gynecologist and then start the drug with an added advantage of simultaneous follicular study.
All the best

My husband wants me to wait for one more month and try to conceive naturally before going for ultrasound. Should I wait?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Manisha Jain (16 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
yes you can wait for 1 cycle

Detailed Answer:
Yes you are very young in age so you can wait and try naturally till the time both of you are ready for induction and follicular study.
Till then you can try intercourse on alternate days from day 12 and also try following measures to enhance the chances of conception -
1) try to keep a pillow beneath your buttocks after sex so that gravitational force keeps the semen inside the vagina for a longer time.
2) should not get up for at least 20-25 minutes
3) try conventional position of sex female lying down on bed
I hope these measures will help you in conception in near future.
In case you have any questions in future I will be glad to help.
