Question : My cholesterol result just came out ! it's 200 ,which is borderline high ! shall I go for a lipid profile test ? or is there any need to take any medicine ?
Brief Answer:
As explained below
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query. Yes your cholesterol levels are borderline high. I would suggest you to wait and do exercise, diet control and then repeat after 3 months. There is no need to start medicines now. You can get a lipid profile to use it as a base to recheck after 3 months.
Daily exercise for 30 mins such as walking. Avoid oily food. Limit the intake of non veg food if you do and tea/coffee.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further if any.
Regards.
