Question : Hello doctor
This is Namarata from XXXXXXX UK . Currently for the last five weeks I am in XXXXXXX , south of XXXXXXX to be precise . I live in small town called tuticorin which is down south of XXXXXXX It’s been exactly four weeks since I had my first dose of Covishield vaccine . I am only 35 years old but since I am obese and have mild sugar levels my family doctor here gave me the dose. Today I was supposed to go for my second dose but only after going there I was told that there is no stock and to come in Monday. Over here the hospital I go for the vaccine dose they do not have a separate place for vaccine and we all have to pass through the main corridor to get to the place where they vaccinate. I had my n95 mask in and I was wearing specs . Did not personally speak to anyone but passed through many people who were waiting for their doctor appointment ( do not again know the reason why they were there) . Within 7 to 10 minutes was out of the hospital and back inside auto and as soon as we came home took bath and steam inhalation. But I am still scared of any possible exposure. Will I get any immunity from he first dose . Is there any preventative care I can do from my side . I am so scared please help me

Brief Answer:
There is no reason to panic!

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that there are really low chances for you to get Covid as you were wearing the N95 mask which protects you up to 95 %, you had no close contact with anybody and the period of time that you passed in the hospital was really short.

From the other hand, as you have got your first vaccine shot four weeks ago, have already some immunity against Covid.

So, in my opinion, there's no reason to worry about!

You have already done the best to avoid infection. There is no need for further measures.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
