Is There Any Relation Between Pain In Legs And Menopause?

Question: I have already asked regarding my aching legs. My first query was regarding aching legs and tingly skin, and wondering if this could be related to menopause. The diagnosis was Vit D3 deficiency. While my subscription is in place I would like a back up opinion. So.. legs really ache, stiff ankles and knees. Odd sensation when i scratch.. sort of tingly. I have been taking 600 - 700 iu of D3 a day for the past two weeks, but mainly a calcium supplement, I am still trying to source a good D3 here on Phuket. My previous consultant said he gave his patients 6000iu once a week with milk for 6 weeks. Is 1000iu a day with food just as good? When should I start to worry if this is not just a D3 deficiency? I may have had a wee bit of improvement over the past two weeks, but very minimal.

Continue your doctor's advice
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and I understand your concerns about aching legs.
Following is my reply:
1) This is likely to be vitamin D3 deficiency.
2) I think you should go ahead with your doctor's advice in Phuket with 6000 IU. It will help.
3) Meanwhile get complete hemogram also done to rule out anemia.
