Question : I was told today that I have hsv1, but the lady that called didn't give me any information whenever I asked. Is there any way that you can help with this?

HSV 1 usually causes cold sores and it is transmitted from an infected partner by intimate contact like kissing. The infected partner may not be aware that he/ she has HSV 1 infection as the virus may have been silent and even those with past history of cold sores may pass the virus to the uninfected unknowingly/ without any obvious outbreaks.
