Question : Can I perscribe a single dose of inderal for performance anxiety in a pt who is being treated with Addearalxr for ADD?

Thanks for writing to us.

Proparanolol can be prescribed in patient taking Adderall without any serious side effect or interaction. However adderall decreases effects of propranolol by pharmacodynamic antagonism. Considering this aspect at least space of 4 hours should be kept between two medicines dosing shcedule and there may be need of some higher dose of inderal according to effectiveness and clinical judgment.
