Question : I just started on Tirosint today. I have been taking Advil for relief of a back strain. Can I still take Advil while on this medication?

you need to Stop Taking Advil for longer duration..

Dear XXXX, Welcome to HCM,

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Now Levothyroxine is generally a safe medication but has several drug interactions.. one among them is with Advil also(not major however )..

Now even in other scenario also, Advil is not at all advisable for continuing long term basis..(not at all more than 3-4 days) ..

So I'd strongly advice you to stop Advil immediately..

You can simply take analgesic like Tab PARACETAMOL 650 mg Three times daily after food for next 4-5 days , it'll provide relief..
