Question : I have not been able to walk for 20 days now and my neurologist advised an IVIG drip for 5 days. Is there no oral substitute for IVIG? Does IVIG involve any surgical procedure or is it just a drip? When can I go home? How long will I take to recover after the IVIG treatment? - Thanks, regards

I have gone through the details. There is no oral substitute for IVIG. There is no surgical procedure. It is similar to IV drip/infusion. It usually takes 3 hours and you can go home after that. The benefits of the treatment will be seen by 4 weeks after the first infusion.
