Is This Due To Vaginal Atrophy Had A Lot Of Urinary Issues ?

Question: I was diagnosed with vaginal atrophy back in 2017. I am using vaginal estrogen cream. I have had a lot of urinary issues because of this condition.
Lately, I feel like there's an inflammation on right side of my vagina that is causing me to feel like I have to urinate more often.

I had a urine test - no infection.

Is this due to vaginal atrophy? What would help this?

Brief Answer:
Examination by gynecologist required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Vaginal atrophy is also associated with vaginal infection which might lead to minor urinary tract infections leading to frequent urination.

2) Such minor infections dont show up on urine examination.

3) Vaginal infection can be assessed by your gynecologist after local examination. it is important to treat vaginal infection which causes frequent urine infections.

4) Another reason for urinary issues is cystocele ( bladder becomes loose and hangs in vagina). This needs to be examined by your gynecologist.

5) For both issues i mentioned above, examination by your gynecologist is optimum.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
