Is Travelling Advisable During 7th Month Pregnancy?

Question : Hj dr. I am in 7th month of pregnancy and working in XXXXXXX and am consulting dr. here only. our family is insisting of having delivery in our home town in XXXXXXX I am not sure if this is feasible or not, as I am planning to go to work till 9th month. Also when is the best time to discuss this with my dr. I am afraid that she might lose interest in me. And when do u think is the safe time to travel there? Its a journey of around 6-7 hours.

Hello Mrs XXXX. Welcome again. Since you plan to work in XXXXXXX up to 9 th month then preferably you should plan to have tour delivery in XXXXXXX only. Bit if you plan to have your delivery in XXXXXXX then you should go there after 32 wks of pregnancy. Also travel by train,its safe and comfortable as you can avoid all the potholes and also loe down comfortably in train. After 10 days of delivery

Yoh can travel anytime after 10 days of delivery.
By that time follow up visit with the doctor is over and baby has established feeding too.
Also bleeding stops and breast milk is fair enough to feed the baby in whole journey.
It is safe and comfortable for both mother and child
