Interruption of the stream of flow is sometimes an indicator of enlargement of the prostate.
In most men, this is benign (not cancer) but in some cases, it is due to cancer related enlargement.
Physical examination and a blood test to check PSA are needed.
Other symptoms of prostate disease are hesitancy (difficult to start flow), urgency (needing to rush to bathroom), frequency, incontinence, dribbling.
Your GP can assess your prostate for you and there is medication that can help if needed
