Brief Answer: Oxygen is a good thing. thats why portable Detailed Answer: Good day XXXX Thank you for asking. I am Dr S Khan and i would like to help your concern for your husband's use of oxygen while driving a car. Oxygen portability is meant for its availability every where even while driving a car. So no worries regarding that of using it while driving a car.Geriatric age limitations with associated morbidities keep the use of oxygen very much necessary upto 18 hours a day. But i recommend taking rest and avoid driving the care not because of oxygen use but driving itself is a stress which a heart can not bear after such a fragile procedure. Let him have some rest before doing any activity like that. Rest assured oxygen has nothing to do while driving it.Its rather to be used and recommended and that is why portable oxygen generation concept has been introduced. Hope it soothes the nerves. Take good care of yourself and your husband. Stay in touch with his doctors and have a regular monitoring of his condition. Regards and good luck. Please don't forget to close the discussion
