Is Using Kenacort Ointment Advisable After Complete Healing Of Mouth Ulcers?

Question: Hello Doctor,

As per your suggestion, to avoid mouth ulcers I've been using SLS free toothpaste and also Zincovit tablets daily from past couple of weeks. Currently I have no mouth ulcers but I often feel sensation on my tongue and it's like they are coming back again.

Whenever I feel so, I apply Kenacort ointment so that they go before they come out and it is working it seems. Please advise if this the correct way or do you think if it is coming there might be other reasons?

Hi..
Thanks for writing back..

It is good that the mouth ulcers have healed and the sensation can be due to slight irritation of tongue..

But if you are not having mouth ulcers then no need to apply Kenacort and apply only if you see any ulcers erupting..

So just avoid very hot and spicy foods and do warm saline gargles if there is irritation..
