Question : I've Had a head ache on the right side of me head for a week now. It sometimes throbs. Sometimes it's at the back right of my head almost in my neck and throbs. Other times its a dull ache all over my head. I have no other symptoms, only the head ache. I can still go to the gym lifting heavy weights and hardly feel it. Mornings are fine. I feel it most mid day at work and at night at home.

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, there can be several causes for that which should get evaluated, but I think it may be occipital neuralgia.

Please let me know do you have increased sensitivity to bright light /loud sound, nausea /vomiting, dizziness, numbness in arms?

For further assessment, I would suggest you consult with a Neurologist for a detailed clinical examination. S/he may procure an MRI brain with neck, nerve conduction studies as per evaluation to rule out any other possibilities of migraine /nerve compression.

Till then continue Ibuprofen. Avoid strenuous activity. Kindly do gym exercises under the expert trainers. It would be better to take rest for few days.

I dont have any increased sensitivity to light, loud noises, any nausea, dizzyness or numbness. It's just the headache. My doctor wont be able to seen me until january the 9th.
On a side note I have just turned pretty much Vegan. Wasnt even a graduale thing, literally over night. I read a few forums of new vegans experiencing bad headaches. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but I thought I might mention it.
