Brief Answer:
hormone status is stabilizing with the measures you have been practicing.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.
I have gone through your query and would like to offer my opinion.
The fact that you are experiencing regular cycles suggests that hormone status is stabilizing with the measures you have been practicing.
However, the prolonged spotting is indicative of inadequate endometrial preparation and calls for hormone supplements to be complete.
I would ask you to see your health care provider for further assistance and plan further management.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi Doctor,
I'll not be able to meet my doctor because of the lockdown now.
I did not understand "the prolonged spotting is indicative of inadequate endometrial preparation and calls for hormone supplements to be complete"
Can you suggest some way if this needs . to be stopped?

Brief Answer:
deficiency of progesterone observed in PCOD is responsible for it
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Inadequate endometrial preparation means that the deficiency of progesterone observed in PCOD is responsible for it. The endometrium, the lining of the uterus that is shed during a period is acted upon by the two hormones, estrogen and progesterone. While estrogen is in excess in PCOD, progesterone is inadequate. This disparity leads to such abnormal menstrual pattern. Progesterone supplements are helpful to correct.
Even through lockdown, doctors are available on call and you can contact your doctor through phone and get further help.
Hope this clarifies your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.
