Detailed Answer:
Noted your detailed feedback. Thanks.
My thoughts:
Vertebral Surgery done.
Followed by ileus meaning there was some changes in the nerve supply to the intestines causing primary and secondary changes that you have mentioned above in details.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation which you can discuss with your Doctors and request for proper further evaluation and investigations:
CT scan of abdomen with Enteroclysis. Enteroclysis can tell about the duration of passage of XXXXXXX and can show many things as follows:
Speed of motility.
Any obstruction, kinking, dilatation of intestines. This give best information.
Upper GI endoscopy (done already).
Colonoscopy.
Tests of stool and blood.
All these gives correlation to clinical evaluation and thus allow to get an appropriate diagnosis so that the management can be specific and effective.
I hope, your are on a PPI and Motility regulator like Domperidone/Metoclopramide or so. Needs a valid prescription.
Secondly, CT scan of chest and particularly for the study of the spine, lungs and chest wall helps to rule out any problem and if anything is found to be treated accordingly.
Avoid the foods and beverages that increase your symptoms.
Avoid stress and anxiety.
Sedentary life increases problems. Hence walk at least after taking dinner. Take dinner early.
Sleep in reclining position. Helps to avoid GERD and regurge.
Good to know that X-ray of chest and EKG were normal.
I hope this answers your queries, helps for further evaluation to get an appropriate diagnosis and thus allow better management.
Feel free to ask for further relevant queries.

Detailed Answer:
I hope you have gone through my detailed answer above.
I do not think the symptoms are related to atherosclerosis at such an early age of 25 years.
GERD is surely there.
