Question : I've been having throat pain for about a week and now I also have jaw pain in the lower corner of my jaw, what can this be?
Brief Answer:
Tonsillitis is possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
Probably you are having tonsillitis, inflammation of tonsils.
The tonsils while being inflamed swell up causing soreness.
This swelling probably is expanding from throat and tonsils to the jaw causing jaw pain and possibly lymph nodes.
I think you can go to a doctor to shine a lamp on your throat to see if tonsils are red, swollen and with white spots.
In this case you may need to take antibiotics.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Dental infection
Detailed Answer:
Ok as I said the first thing to suspect was throat pain and once it is excluded I can say dental infection. Congestion usually doesn't give lymph nodes.
Visit a dentist.
