Question : Hello, for the last week I've had a painful and tender area by my anus and buttock region. Specifically, right at the tailbone area and above the anus. The pain is surface level and feels like a burning or stretching type. It only hurts in certain positions when I'm sitting down and is painfree otherwise.

It appears to be a cyst like lesion. I went to Urgent Care and they didn't think they could drain it because it wasn't soft or oozing anything. So instead of doing anything there, they referred me to a Colon/Rectal specialist.

In the meantime, I wanted to see if you could provide me any other information regarding what this could be and what I can do to treat it. If it's serious or any other insight.

I have a picture that I can attach if that is easier too.

Thank you.
