I?ve Had A Rash On My Legs Come And Go
Question: I?ve had a rash on my legs come and go since my dad was ill 6 years ago. I know he suffered from athletes foot and I was possibly in contact with it. I?m currently 11 weeks pregnant. I?ve had the rash on one leg for 6 months and it is now on my other leg as well. The itching is unbearable, especially at night. I?ve been airing the area for months, I?ve tried multiple strength creams with abs without steroids. I?ve taken antibiotics for a week. I?ve tried herbal remedies such a tea tree oil. Moisturising lotions (These tend to make it worse). None of these things have made any difference at all. I?d like to send photos, I guess the rash doesn?t distinctively look like ringworm
Brief Answer:
Use topical antifungal
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and I have viewed the Images.
You seem to have a fungal infection. You should use a topical antifungal e.g either Luliconazole 1% cream or Amorolfine 0.25% cream, twice daily for a few weeks. These are prescription drugs. I would suggest you to NOT take an oral antifungal at this time since you are pregnant.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
