Question : I’ve had black stools the last 3 or 4 days. I won’t be able to get in to see my doctor for one week. Do I need to go to the emergency room?

Hi and thank you for asking!

You are reporting to have had black stools.
The main cause of black stools is gastrointestinal bleeding.
There are o lot of other causes that may cause black stools like Iron supplements, spinach etc.
But firts of all we must rule out GI bleeding. this is why I suggest to go at emergency room as soon as possible.
