Question : I've had bleeding hemorrhoids for a while. But tonight a large lump emerged from my anus and was bleeding an discharging what appears to be a clear liquid. It's about the size of a large olive. Just wondering what type of specialist to consult and whether this might be something other than rectal cancer.

It could be Prolapsed Haemorrhoid

There are 4 stages in Haemorrhoids.
In the 4th stage,the Haemorrhoid will.come out and become Prolapsed.In this stage,it will not go inside again.
As per your description,it looks like 4th Stage Haemorrhoid.
You should consult a General Surgeon/Surgical Gastroenterologist,get examined clinically and proceed further.
If he suspects Cancer, Biopsy will be taken.
