Question : Hello. For a few months I’ve noticed my uvula has been elongated at touching my tongue. It looks slightly swollen at the base. I always have periodic sores on the roof of my mouth. They come and go. I do suffer from allergies and asthma, as well as anxiety. I imagine this is a combination of all three but I want some clarification. I am not in pain but it is sometimes itchy and I sometimes get an uncomfortable feeling when I dry swallow.

Brief Answer:
Uveitis caused by allergies.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think that the elongated and swollen uvula you are having for so long may be caused by allergies.
I think you may need to use antihistamines such benadryl or cetrizine to reduce it.
Also you may need to do corticosteroid injections to help reduce inflammation and reduce it's size and swelling.
Also you should keep yourself hydrated having more water.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
