Question : Hi doctor, my kid had a vomiting, fever, undigested motion. Kindly advise shall we give emest syrup? Her weight-12kg. And also advice the dosage. Thanks

Hi dear,
Thank you for posting your query here
I understand your concern

I guess she is not on any other drugs now.

You can give her 5ml of Syrup Emeset(2mg/5ml) 2-3 times daily for 2 days. Give this 1 hour before food.

Also give Paracetamol for fever- 3.5ml of Syrup Fepanil(250mg/5ml) 3 times daily. If there is loose stools, give half glass of ORS solution in small frequent sips after each stools.

With these measures, she will be okay in 3-4 days; otherwise, kindly get back to me.
