The common complications associated with albinism are related to eyes and skin because of absence of pigment.
Patients usually have photophobia, nystagmus, refraction defects, actinic keratoses, squamous cell carcinoma and rarely melanomas.
In some rare forms there are defects in immune function and chances of development of malignant lymphoma.
