Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

Let us consider your case in a phase wise manner.

Why was the splenectomy done?

Cholecystectomy we can understand could have been due to cholecystitis or gallstones.

Why is she on Pentids 400mg [Because the spleen was removed?]

Lyrica is pregabalin if she has neuralgic pain she can continue for 6 months safely.

Folic acid 5mg is OK but for loose motion she should take prebiotic for 6 weeks. Does she pass mucus in stool?

For heart burning and uneasiness she should take fat free and bland diet as her gall bladder is removed, if this does not help she should take proton pump inhibitors.

Last two are because of Gall bladder removal and commonly seen in these type of patients.

Hope all clear, If there are no further queries do accept our response

Hi

Thanks for posting your followup query

Prebiotic medicine is a medicine that contains healthy bacteria which gets destroyed with regular antibiotics ,which in turn gives opportunistic infections a control over the patient

Unfortunately and ethically as we have not examined the patient we cannot prescribe medicines

If loose motion is occasional you can stop prebiotic after 2 weeks

Hope all clear
