                                    Brief Answer:
Can be due to sudden jerk.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The appearance of retrolisthesis now can be due to a cervical muscle spasm, an accident or banging on the mouth without proper fixation. A sudden jerk can cause such a change and even compression of nerve roots or a neck muscle spasm. Medicines like oral muscle relaxants, methylcobalamin supplements and a regular physiotherapy can help in improvement.
I hope this answers your query.
