Question : My Mother went for MRI scan for her cervical. In MRI we found that "Large well-defined cystic intensity lesion at right lobe of thyroid. Then we have done ultra sound also. When i shown to ENT surgeon, they said nothing they can see from outside. Even my mother is also not feeling any kind of pain. Attaching MRI and Ultra sound reports for your reference.

Benign thyroid cystic / colloid nodule.

Dear Ma'm, Hi! Benign thyroid nodules, which are usually collection of colloid material and appear cystic on USG or MRI are a very common finding and nothing to worry. They do not usually interfere with thyroid function and are not known to be notorious for anything. Still to be double sure few recommendations are there.
1. please check her TSH/FT4
2. Please get FNAC of the thyroid nodule done.
