Brief Answer:
It could be due to gastroparesis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In relation to spine issues and Parkinsonism, the long term digestion issues could be neurological - gastroparesis. Is her loss of appetite due to vomiting like feeling?

I would suggest the following:
- Gassex tablet once a day when bloating is bad
- Lie on tummy for some time
- If she feels like vomiting then domperidone can help. It can be taken as syrup or tablet or dispertab 5 mg upto 3 times a day. It will help in passage of food down the stomach.
- eat small quantities of food regularly, but at same time everyday
- eat soft foods and chew foods nicely
- avoid complex proteins like meats, beans etc
- drink fluids along meals and sit upright for few hrs after eating meals

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
She is taking correct medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Since she has constipation since one month it is not a big problem. In her case it seems to be a habit or maybe due to her nerves problem. Anyways treating Parkinsonism may help with her constipation. Some opioid pain killers can cause constipation. Is she taking any pain killers?

Constipation means not going for stools. Why is she going to loo 12 to 15 times a day?
Carmozyme helps in digesting food (Papaya has same ingredients as carmozyme). Gutclear helps in passing stools. These medicines can be taken for short term but gut should be allowed to function normally on long term. Gutclear should be taken only if stools unable to pass for 2-3 days. So take these medicines only when needed (not daily).

This condition should be managed with proper diet:
- She should drink atleast 6-7 glasses of water daily
- Eat meals at same time
- Eat atleast 5 fruits per day
- have meals at same time everyday
- Take probiotics like yakult or even curd/dahi
- Take meals at same time daily

Regards
