Mild Pain On Either Side Of My Waist/hip From 4 Months
Question: I have a pain on either side of my waist/hip region. It has been 4 months and it still exists. I go to the gym and suspect that it could be due to lifting too heavy too quickly. I've stopped going to the gym since the pain begun. I've consulted various doctors and everyone said that it is a muscle pain (gluteus medius or piriformis pain) and not any damaged tendon or ligament issue. The pain is not felt on touch or pressure. The pain is severe if I'm walking for a prolonged time (1 hour or so) or doing some kind of jumping movements. The pain is mild at other times.

I am going to the gym but doing upper body movements exclusively. I do walk around, but not a lot. Within controlled limits, there is no pain while walking.
There is no numbness in legs or stiffness in the lower back. One of the doctors I went to also applied pressure to lower back to check if it's a referred pain but I didn't feel any pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As you described your condition,it could be due to disc bulge, and to rule out that, you should get MRI spine done.
Because it resolves and reappears.
Normal muscle related pain does not reappear usually.
I Hope Your Query is clear now.
Thank You

But the pain is never completely gone. It always there. And on both sides. Any specific reason why there would be a disc bulge?

Hi,
Yes, that is why MRI is needed.
Sometimes during workout in gym, if proper posture is maintained during lifting weights, it can lead to disc bulge.
