Question : Morning, I've been having a small amount of milky like penile discharge. Because of this I got tested for STD's, even though I haven't had any sexual intercourse within weeks leading up to this discharge. All the test results for clymidia and gonorrhea came back negative. There are no symptoms other than the discharge. Any advice on what to do or what it maybe the cause of this? Thanks.

Brief Answer:
passage of accumulated sperms most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Warm welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have evaluated your query in details.

* As per my clinical experience, the milky discharge through penis sounds to be passage of accumulated sperms inside the seminal vesicles, mostly physiologic and not pathologic.

* Prolonged avoidance of intercourse as well as masturbation is the usual cause for this.

* My guidelines at present

- Drink more liquids.
- Avoid stress and anxiety.
- Maintain blood sugar levels.
- Regular physical activity and exercises.
- Avoid smoking or alcohol if consuming at present.

Wish you fine health.
Regards.

Take care.

Morning Doc. the puss like discharge is still present even though it is a small amount. And only becomes visible when I squeeze the very tip of the penis mainly in the early mornings. There is very little to no discharge throughout the day and no other symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome for the follow up.

* Squeezing the tip of penis in the early morning giving discharge indicate accumulation of
prostatic secretions over night.

What happens if you do not squeeze the penis tip, do you get any discharge or not ?

Little to no discharge unless squeezed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Little or no discharge without squeezing favour my prediction for prostatic secretions.

So maintain your hydration at best levels and do not squeeze and try to see the discharge now onwards as it is normal physiologic fluid in the prostate which you are compelling to drain out forcibly.

Thank you.
