Question : I have a clear mucus discharge from anus area. It irritating and has been going on for about a month.

2. Do you have occasional passage of blood?
3. Is the mucus thick in consistency?
4. Is there any itching sensation in the perianal region?
5. Do you experience muscle weakness and abdominal distension?
6. Do you have weight loss?
7. Has any rectal examination been done?
8. What is the approximate amount of mucus secreted per day?

Thank you for the answers.

If anal speculum examination is normal then there is a possibility of inflammatory bowel disease or villous adenomas of the rectum or colon. This can be picked up by colonoscopy.

So I suggest you to consult a gastrenterologist for a colonoscopic evaluation to find the cause.
