Must I Visit The ER After Accidentally Ingesting Metal Shavings?

Question : I accentilly swallowed metal shaving that got on my coffee cup... should I go to the ER?

Hi,
Such types of thing commonly happen, In fact it depends on the size of the object . If it is not a big one ,and you dont feel any discomfort , this wont be a big problem hopefully as it would pass with stool and you may not need going there.
However if you have any pain , or the size was a larger one , then sure you should to the ER.
Even if in little doubt , you can go to the ER just to be very safe.However you should not be very tense , this mostly does not make any problem.
